How tall is the ceiling on a two-story house?

In two-story houses, the height of a ceiling can be different from one level to another, depending on the architectural design and construction of the house. Usually, ceilings can be divided into the following heights:

First Floor Ceiling Height:

Normally, the height of a ceiling in the first room ceases to be less than eight feet and does not surpass nine feet (2.4 to 2.7 meters).

Alternatively, for upscale or contemporary residences, the minimum height may increase to ten feet or more to provide a sense of spaciousness which may count to more than three meters.

Second Floor Ceiling Height:

The average ceiling height of a second room comparable to the first remains in the range of eight to nine feet which is equal to 2.4 to 2.7 meters.

However, some differ in design due to the presence of sloped upper walls which may extend the height of the ceiling or limit it to a more custom height.

Vaulted or Cathedral Ceilings:

Open and dramatic is how vaulted and cathedral ceilings are described, because while built into a house the height of living rooms or even the master bedroom at times, reaches 12 to 20 feet which is equal to approximately 3.6 to 6 meters, at least.

Depending on the nation architecture follows, the building that is custom made will differ from other practices, residential houses will follow a particular set style or not.
