Can you have interior fire-rated walls with an act ceiling?

Indeed, it is conceivable to have an ACT ceiling fixed below interior fire-rated walls, however, one must satisfy some safety regulations. Depending on the safety criterion of the construction, fire rated walls are expected to hold a fire outbreak for a certain length of time, like for instance one or two hours. But in order to maintain the performance of these walls, the ceiling system is also required to be fire rated. Generally, ACT ceilings are not fire rated, unless otherwise stated. So as to ensure fire continuity, fire rated ceiling tiles and grids should be placed in conjunction with fire rated walls on compliance with the applicable building regulations.

When it comes to a more reliable and ideal solution, aluminum ceilings provide good design flexibility, durability and resistance to fire. To ensure compliance with safety regulations without compromising the aesthetics to your space, Tuopu Metal manufactures aluminum ceiling that is fire resistant and tailored to your individual requirements.
